STAR WARS BB8 Styrofoam Ornament!
#moreexcitingthanChristmas
So...on my way to see the newest Star Wars movie today!
So excited!
Mostly for this little lady...BB8,
Isn't she just the most adorable droid?
And...yes, it's been established that she is, in fact, female.
Although...now that I've seen the movie I don't believe it.
They only referred to BB8 as "him or he"...so boy.

Anyway,
You will need styrofoam balls. I have a bunch from Make it: Fun!
I used 1/5 inch and 2 inch. In hindsight, I'd go bigger on the base...2.5 or 3"
Alas.
You will also need white, black, gray and orange paint
Slice the smaller balls in nearly half with a bread knife.
Use the larger half for BB8's head.
You will also need hot glue and a gun.
Hot glue the head on the base.
Then paint all white.
Let dry completely...which can take a while because of
the cellular nature of the styrofoam.
We let ours sit overnight.
Then paint orange circles around the base...
A line around the head and then add some gray, as well as the black eye things.
Tie off some twine and use a pin to stick it in the top of the foam.
Easy and ready to hang on the tree!
