 DIY: Alcohol Ink Watercolor Vases!
These splattery colorful vases are so fun to paint and decorate.
Perfect for centerpieces for events and occasions or home decor.
 You'll need:
White ceramic Vases
Bombay India ink
Rubbing Alcohol
Paintbrush
Copper Liquid Leaf Paint
Paint Palette
The vases are really cute and have a faux wood finish on the bottom section.  I tried to use painters tape and cover it during this process but the ink seeps through anyway, so I painted the bottom section with copper leaf liquid instead.
This technique is very similar to these Watercolor Coasters I did.
There's a video on this link if you want to see the process.

Put some drops of ink in the palette.
And paint them right on the vase.
Use water to rinse the brush when changing colors, add more bright colors to the vase.
Next, add a couple drops here and there of the rubbing alcohol.
It will instantly repel the ink.
And then add some additional paint if desired.
 Then let it dry completely.
Next, use the liquid leaf and paint the bottom part of the vase.
Let dry completely.  You can spray with lacquer to seal it in if desired.
I love the bright colors and the metallic copper!
