Star Wars Porg Heat Transfer Vinyl Shirt DIY!
Have you seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi yet?
I'm not one to publish spoilers, but here's my favorite part: Porgs.
Porgs are so darling. They are like a mix of penguin, puffin and little monster. They are so cute and loveable, they get you hooked. They inspired me to design this little cartoony image in the Porg's likeness, to make a shirt that is utter "Porg-fection".
So here's a porg. They have the giant eyes of Beanie Boo's. They have the shape and features of a penguin or puffin...and that little upside down smile--the frown, that is so endearing of little Kawaii cartoons. It's irresistible.
And here is my version. 4 colors. Giant eyes, wonky lines, heart shapes where ever the eyes look. It's adorable. It's "Porg-tastic".
I designed this image myself, so please use it for personal use only.
The files separated into png files are available for FREE at this post.
You will also need:
Brown, Black, White and Yellow Heat Transfer Vinyl
and a Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine
Load the files into Cricut Design Space and change the colors to match the vinyl, so you can layer all the pieces and make sure they are all the same size. If you change the size, select all the images so they are all sized up or down at the same time. Then mirror-image them before cutting. Once cut, remove the vinyl, cut around it and weed out the excess vinyl.
Start by layering the vinyl until it is centered on the shirt.
Then remove all the layers except the feet.
Cover with a teflon sheet and iron with a medium iron for about 20-30 seconds. Let it cool, then remove the plastic.
Then add the brown body vinyl. Repeat the process like before.
Let cool, remove plastic, then repeat with the heart chest layer.
Remove the plastic when cool.
Then add the eyes, cover with teflon and iron.
Peel back when cool.
And ta-da--It's Geek Chic Porg Perfection!
Star Wars crafts are my favorite! Isn't it just the cutest?
With a fabulous raglan shirt!
